YA lit

I found out today that one of my favorite books from early high school, The Perks of being a Wallflower, is being made into a movie with Emma Watson!

I'm so excited. That book meant so much to me when I was 15.

I thought I would use this opportunity to list some of my favorite young adult reads.

1)
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty White

2) Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist By Rachel Cohn and David Leviathan

3) A Wrinkle in Time
by Madeline L'Engle

4) Cruddy by Lynda Barry

5) When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead

How about you? What are some of your favorites?

  1. Great post. I had so many favorites, it's hard to think of them all right now. The Phantom Tollbooth, Caddie Woodlawn, and all the Ramona books were wonderful. There was a book called Wait til Helen Comes that scared me silly when I was little! I love going back and re-reading old favorites.

  2. I remember Wait til Helen comes! It was about a little girl's imaginary friend and they lived near a graveyard. It was spooky!
